Walsh were commissioned to work at Cambray Court in Cheltenham as Main Contractor to help repair the damage done by a failing retaining wall within the river. Working in a busy city centre location and within a live environment Walsh removed and replaced the retaining wall and utilising recycled materials maintained the flow of the river. The adjacent ground was reinstated, concrete slabs were laid ready for the build of 23 new garages across a number of blocks. The build of the garages involved the management of skilled sub-contractors to include scaffolders, timber roof specialists, electricians, painters, plumbers and brick layers. The site has recently been finished off using surfacing and white lining sub-contractors.
Working with the Environmental Agency and with building control Walsh were successful in completing this project within budget.
